Learning Environment
These links are useful to develop assessment in the classroom effectively and help to obtain students’ learning.
It was such a valuable experience involving in the exhibition, being a mentor and being part of the team that organize the exhibition. I was involved in supervising 3 groups of photography, games and fashion. It was a challenge handling those 3 groups in a time, with different and various skills of the students. For me the most important part is the readiness of the students and all supervisors. The students need to be familiar with inquiry process have more understanding in the elements of inquiry planning.
However. there are a lot of things we can learn from the exhibition such as organizing yourself and cooperating in a group, enhancing 5 essential elements (knowledge, skill, attitude profile, concept and action).
Assessment and Reporting
Various assessments were made for the students’ development and evaluation. Checklist, rubric and anecdotal records are the assessments mostly used.

Reporting
In the end of each semester, reporting system has been applied in different ways. Each teacher has to be able to generate report comments relevant to the students’ development that will be used as authentic information to parents. Contribution in developing the students’ comments and learning outcomes needed to be discussed in a team.
What I have done
I usually take some samples from the internet to make the report statements when the reporting has come.
Use anecdotal record to support our statements in the report comments
Involving students in generating criteria from the task given. To make the students have a self belonging on their own learning, this is important to support their learning. It’s done by group discussions or individual notes.
What I need to develop
– Consistency in assessing students’ performance in various ways. Sometimes during the discussions in the classroom, we forgot to take notes or checklist on the students’ participations/ performances. The anecdotal records notes of students’ learning will help a lot to create report comments.
– Considering learning outcomes for new students and native speaker in the unit of inquiry or Bahasa Indonesia.
– Immediate assessment during the learning activities to make more accurate data during the reporting.
– Self discipline to be consistent and organized.
Classroom assessment is both a teaching approach and a set of techniques. The approach is that the more you know about what and how students are learning, the better you can plan learning activities to structure your teaching.
The techniques are mostly simple, non-graded, anonymous, in-class activities that give both you and your students useful feedback on the teaching-learning process. This is a simple but easily forgotten by the teachers in the classroom after the class.
